How do I use it?

Join a voice channel, then type commands in any text channel. The bot joins your voice channel and starts a Go Live stream.

Can it be in multiple voice channels?

No — one stream at a time. If someone is already watching, the current stream needs to finish or be stopped first.

What if content is missing?

Request it. Most movies and shows are added within 24 hours.

What is the streaming quality? expand_more

The bot streams at up to 1080p 60fps via Discord Go Live. Source files are up to 4K HDR with lossless audio — the bot transcodes in real-time using hardware encoding to the best quality Discord supports.

How often is the library updated? expand_more

New movies and shows are added weekly. If something specific is missing, request it and we'll add it — usually within 24 hours.

Why is my stream only 720p? expand_more

Stream quality is controlled by Discord, not StreamBot. Unboosted servers are limited to 720p 15fps. Level 1 (2 boosts) gets 720p 60fps. Level 2 (7 boosts) or Nitro unlocks 1080p 60fps. The bot auto-detects your server's level and encodes at the best supported quality — there's no benefit to encoding higher than what Discord allows.

Can multiple people watch at the same time? expand_more

Yes. Everyone in the voice channel can click the Go Live stream to watch. There's no viewer limit beyond Discord's own voice channel limits.

What permissions does the bot need? expand_more

The bot needs the following permissions in your server:

Required: View Channels, Send Messages, Read Message History, Connect, Speak, Use Voice Activity, Go Live / Stream

Recommended: Manage Messages (for smoother menu navigation), Add Reactions
